Dizzee Rascal treats fans to free music

Rapper Dizzee Rascal has treated his fans to a special festive gift by giving away a mixtape of new songs.

The Bonkers hitmaker is rewarding his loyal devotees with a gift over the holiday season by releasing the tracks for free via his DirteeTV.com website.

The collection, entitled The Mixtape Vol. 2, is a follow-up to the first installment he put out on New Year's Day in 2007.

In a video clip posted on his official site, Dizzee Rascal says, "Merry Christmas, everybody. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. Download the mixtape, it's free so enjoy your holidays, man! Enjoy your turkey, enjoy yourself! Have a good time. Peace and love."

The star is capping off a memorable 2012, during which he played the biggest gig of his career at the opening ceremony of London's Olympic Games.
