Draw Something still top of charts
A drawing game has continued to dominate the app charts, taking the top spot for the fifth week in a row.
The game, Draw Something by OMGPOP, is similar to Pictionary and involves drawing something that your opponent then has to guess.
According to the App Store Official UK Charts, the game, which can be played against random challengers or with friends who also use the app, topped the charts of the paid-for and free iPhone and iPad apps.
The smartphone messenger app WhatsApp Messenger by WhatsApp Inc came second in the paid iPhone chart. It allows users to instantly get messages from anyone in their network.
A new version of the Angry Birds game came second in the paid iPad charts. Angry Birds Space HD, by Rovio Mobile, sees the birds take on a new pig enemy in a far away galaxy.
A game which involves inflicting damage on an animated version of your boss has also proved popular. The new version of Kick the Boss by Game Hive Corp involves choosing a weapon to use against animated characters who represent your boss. It came second in the free iPhone chart.
The official Ice Age app was the second most popular app in the iPad free chart. Ice Age Village by Gameloft involves characters from the film series trying to build a new village.
