Duran Duran Sue Fan Club For Compensation
Duran Duran are suing their own fan club for not paying the band promised revenue.
The group, which was one of the most successful global acts of the 1980s, has accused the Chicago-based club of breach of contract.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Duran Duran's lawsuit names Worldwide Fan Clubs Inc as the defendant.
It says the band entered a contract in 2010 allowing the club to collect memberships and sell merchandise.
The contract filed in Illinois this week stipulates that the Notorious and Girls On Film singers get 75% of the profits.
It is thought the band's members, John Taylor, Simon Le Bon, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes are seeking around £23,500 ($40,000) in damages.
