eBay overseas sales set to surge
Sales of goods to countries including Russia and China via eBay are set to increase "dramatically" this Christmas compared with a year ago, the online marketplace has said.
Sales to Russia are predicted to increase by 119%, with women's shoes and dresses in demand, while exports to China will be up by 36%.
The United States is the most popular destination, with more than 2.2 million items expected to be shipped from the UK in the final quarter of the year after being sold on eBay.
Chris Webster, of eBay, said four out of five small businesses using the site have sold goods to at least five overseas countries.
