Edinburgh Probe After Two Found Dead In House

Police in Edinburgh have launched a major investigation following the discovery of the bodies of two people in a house.

Officers have not revealed the gender or age of the people who have died, but have said their deaths are being treated as "unexplained".

Officers were called to the scene in Echline Gardens in Queensferry at around 5pm on Sunday.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Cunningham said: "An investigation team has been formed and we are currently at a very early stage, with officers carryingout door to door inquiries with neighbours and talking to the immediate family.

"At this time the deaths of the two people are being treated as unexplained and more information will be released as soon as it is available."
