Emeli Sande hits back at Noel Gallagher

Singer Emeli Sande has hit back at Noel Gallagher after he accused her of making "music for grannies".

The former Oasis frontman blasted the latest crop of up-and-coming pop stars this week slamming Sande, Paloma Faith, Ed Sheeran, and Mumford & Sons.

In an interview with ShortList magazine, he fumed, "You look at the 'best' now. Paloma Faith? Do me a favour. Who's f**king decided she's a star? Emeli Sande? That is f**king music for grannies. I don't get it."

But Sande has wasted no time in hitting back at the veteran rocker with a cheeky dig - she posted a photograph on Twitter.com of an elderly woman flipping her middle finger at the camera, alongside the message, "Thanks Noel."
