Emeli Sande scores four BRIT Award nominations

Scottish soul sensation Emeli Sande will be hoping for multiple wins at the 2013 BRIT Awards after landing four top nominations.

The singer will compete for Best Female and Best Album for Our Version of Events, while she has double the chance in the Best Single category - both Next To Me and Beneath Your Beautiful, her collaboration with rapper Labrinth, are up for the prize.

Meanwhile, pop star Rita Ora also scores double mentions for Best Single - RIP and Hot Right Now will go head-to-head with Sande's hits, and she will face competition from Jessie Ware for Best Breakthrough.

Ware, a two-time nominee, has also earned a nod for Best Female.

The nominations launch is currently underway in London, where the full list had yet to be announced as WENN went to press.

The 2013 BRIT Awards will be handed out at a ceremony at the O2 Arena in London on 20 February.
