Fast and Furious six gathering pace

The director of hit blockbuster Fast Five has confirmed plans for another fast and furious sequel, declaring: "We're just hitting our stride."

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson have struck gold with Fast Five, which has already raked in £54 million at the U.S. box office since it debuted last week.

Filmmaker Justin Lin insists the turbo-charged movie's success means a sixth installment is inevitable.

He tells USA Today, "After this big weekend, we're going forward. It's pretty much 100 per cent. It's going to happen. At five, we're just hitting our stride. We're growing. People want to continue this journey."
