Prestatyn Fire: Baby Boy Charlie Timbrell Dies
A baby boy who was left fighting for life after a fire at a flat has become the third child to die in the blaze.
Charlie Timbrell, aged one, was being treated for his injuries at Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool.
His mother, Lee-Anna Shiers, 20, was killed along with her niece Skye Allen, two, and nephew Bailey Allen, four, after the blaze took hold at their first-floor flat in Prestatyn, North Wales, on Friday night.
Miss Shiers' partner Liam Timbrell, aged 23, is also being treated in hospital. Firefighters managed to rescue Mr Timbrell and his son from the property.
Charlie died surrounded by his family.
Family members earlier brought flowers and teddy bears to the scene and gathered there for around 45 minutes looking at floral tributes and reading messages of condolence.
They said they were too upset to comment on the tragedy.
At the local Christ Church, special prayers were said as part of the Sunday service.
Police forensic officers have been at the flat in Maes y Groes carrying out investigations.
A 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, who are tenants in the downstairs flat, continue to be questioned on suspicion of murder.
Firefighters took the five victims from the flat at 10pm on Friday.
A Welsh Ambulance Services spokeswoman said the survivors were taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Mr Timbrell, who remains in a critical but stable condition, was later transferred to Whiston Hospital, Merseyside.
Detective Superintendent John Chapman said: "My heart goes out to the family and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
One woman, who lives close by, said a neighbour had tried to mount a rescue as fire crews rushed to the scene.
The woman, who declined to be named, said: "There were two large bangs and at first I thought it was a car crash because the road at the end of Maes Y Groes is quite busy."

With regard to Mikel roi, this is not just a British thing. There seems to be a worldwide rage building in which people lose control and attack others. I notice it has been building for years. Look at the murder rates and how they have steadily been climbing as the population gets bigger.

ZERO TOLERANCE .must start all over,, start with the kids and work our way up the chain,.12 old kids out in the street can do anything against a adult,if the adult hits them go straight ,, to jail and dont they know it,parents cant even hit there kids for being bad,,.hanging some people and making jails hell in a cell not 4 * butlins, this would be a start

I have another theory - i blame the soaps. All of them. You say video games are at fault, i'll remember that next time i climb in my starfighter to stop the alien invasion of Earth. It's not real. However look at the soaps - murder, robbing, infidelity, rape, incest, people in pubs all the time. And the people who watch them think "this is how normal people must behave", you have to be that brain dead to watch the drivel. Think about it.

Yet more people killed in a house fire! Still more run down in a hit-and-run incident and one dead. Other killings all over the country. What is going on? This country is becoming ever more dangerous. A credit to the Police, who seem to get suspects quite rapidly in most cases, but WHAT is being done to reduce the very violent and uncaring trend beginning to seep into our society? We need positive action to make these all these violent actions less popular - while we still have time. Is it all the emphasis on violence and casual killings in the media and violent computer games encouraging this trend?
