Florida Man Executed For Exotic Dancer Murder
A former escort service owner who was convicted of killing two women in the 1980s has been executed at a prison in Florida.
Marshall Gore was given a lethal injection at Florida State Prison, where he had spent 23 years on death row.
His execution had been scheduled to take place on three previous occasions.
It was delayed twice because of questions about his sanity, and was postponed for a third time when it clashed with one of Attorney General Pam Bondi's political fundraising events.
Gore, 49, was sentenced to death for killing 30-year-old exotic dancer Robyn Novick, whose naked body was found in March 1988.
She was stabbed and beaten and left in a pile of rubbish near Homestead, around 60 miles from her home town of Lauderhill.
Gore was also convicted of killing Tennessee college student Susan Roark, whose body was found in woods near Lake City in April 1988, and for the kidnap, rape and attempted murder of a stripper days after Ms Novick's death.
