Frozen Sequel Set For Release Next Year
The princess stars of the hit film Frozen are to return to our screens in a short sequel to be released next year.
Frozen Fever will reunite Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf after the first film took best animated feature and best song at this year's Academy Awards show.
The short film will also feature a new tune by song-writing duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who wrote the catchy smash hit Let It Go.
In the original film, Anna teamed up with Kristoff and snowman Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.
It is the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
The new short film takes place on Anna's birthday, and Elsa and Kristoff are "determined to give her the best celebration ever. But Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk," said a French-language Disney statement.
It has not been confirmed if Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel will voice Anna and Elsa again.
The film will be directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and produced by Peter Del Vecho, all three of them reprising their roles from the original Frozen feature.
