Gabor's daughter furious over champagne snap
A photograph of Zsa Zsa Gabor sipping champagne in her sickbed has prompted an angry reaction from her only child, who has accused the ailing actress' husband of using the star for self-publicity.
Gabor's husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt released a snap of the pair holding a glass of Veuve Clicquot to celebrate his 68th birthday on Sunday.
The picture shows the actress in seemingly good spirits despite her severe health issues, but her only child, Constance Francesca Hilton, is fuming over the image.
In an angry statement, Hilton - who has previously claimed von Anhalt has banned her from seeing her gravely-ill mother - slams her stepfather for allowing a picture to be released when her formerly glamorous mother is not wearing make-up. She also criticises him for allowing a sick woman to drink alcohol.
Hilton says, "He once again uses my mother to bring publicity to himself. He once again releases photos of my mother in unflattering situations without hair and makeup, two things that were so important to her.
"This time he is feeding her alcohol, which could be detrimental to her condition since she is on numerous medications. It's disgusting and no one is doing anything about it."
Gabor has been in and out of hospital since she broke her hip in a fall last summer. In January, part of her leg was amputated to stop the spread of gangrene and fears for her health mounted in March when she began coughing up blood.
