Gallagher store looter given jail sentence
A man has been jailed for eight months for looting Liam Gallagher's store in Manchester during the riots earlier this week.
The unrest, which started in London, spread north on Tuesday night as thugs attacked Manchester's city centre - looting shops and setting buildings ablaze.
Gallagher's Pretty Green boutique was among the premises ransacked, and an estimated £272,000 worth of stock was stolen, according to the Daily Telegraph.
One of the looters convicted in the swift sentencing of rioters was Owen Flanagan, who pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary.
The 28 year old was handed an eight-month jail sentence after stealing £175 worth of items from Gallagher's shop.
