George Clooney 'Engaged To London Lawyer'
George Clooney is to marry London-based human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, according to US media reports.
The Oscar-winner's engagement to Ms Alamuddin, 36, occurred "not that long ago", according to People magazine.
"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem," the magazine reported, quoting an unnamed source.
"I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever."
E! News said Ms Alamuddin was wearing a "massive" ring while dining with Clooney and Cindy Crawford at a Malibu restaurant last week.
The couple have been spotted in New York and on trips to Tanzania and the Seychelles Islands in recent months.
Clooney's agent Stan Rosenfield declined to comment on the reports, saying he does not answer questions about the 52-year-old actor's personal life.
Ms Alamuddin, who works for London's Doughty Street chambers, did not respond when contacted by Sky News.
Her work has seen her defend WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the former Ukrainian prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
Clooney was previously married to the actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
