Gervais joins Kermit and Miss Piggy at premiere
Ricky Gervais has said he would "do anything with a frog" after starring alongside Kermit in the Muppets' latest movie.
The comedian accompanied his co-stars, who also include Tina Fey, for the Hollywood premiere of Muppets Most Wanted.
The Muppets were the first to arrive, driving along the red carpet and leaning out of the window talking to fans.
Kermit and Miss Piggy shared one window, waving to fans, while newcomer Constantine - Kermit's villainous lookalike leaned out of the back window.
Fey said the Muppets were incredible to work with: "It's the best, everyone is a genius, I mean you spend everyday and shoot scenes with Kermit the Frog, it's the best."
Gervais took it a step further, saying that for the film's main villain, Constantine, he would do absolutely anything.
"I'd do anything with a frog, anything you could, I'd go to war, I'd go 'okay you're going with a frog," I'd go, 'oh, not so bad.' If you've got an evil Russian frog next to you I could do anything."
Gervais himself plays a 'bad guy' in the film - "Badguy" being his character's last name - and said that he wasn't so much a villain as just a little morally slippery.
"I'm not like a super villain, Constantine is more evil than me, and off screen we bounded as well over our mutual dislike of the pig, she's a nightmare."
The film begins with the entire Muppets gang going on a world tour, selling out packed theatres for their show, but they quickly become embroiled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine, who happens to look exactly like Kermit.
Bosses have revealed that Miss Piggy wears a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress in the movie, but it is not known if she and Kermit finally tie the knot.
Muppers Most Wanted also features appearances from Christoph Waltz, Salma Hayek, Celine Dion, Tom Hiddleston, Ty Burrell and Lady Gaga.
The film is released in the UK on March 28.
