Grandson Hunted Over Elderly Couple's Deaths

A search is under way for a 26-year-old man thought to have murdered his elderly grandparents in Washington state in the US.

Police fear Michael Boysen may be trying to get hold of firearms because he has been searching for gun shows on the internet.

He is suspected of killing his 82-year-old grandfather and 80-year-old grandmother at their home in Renton on Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Authorities have warned that Boysen - who was only released from prison on Friday after serving a year's sentence for burglary - should be considered "an extreme danger to the public and police".

King County Sheriff spokeswoman Sergeant Cindi West said the bodies were discovered on Saturday.

The cause of the deaths has not yet been released.

A state-wide alert for the victims' missing red 2001 Chrysler 300 car has also been issued.

Gun shows in the US do not require buyers to undergo background checks if the seller only makes occasional sales within their state of residence.
