Hansel & Gretel take over national box office

Jeremy Renner's fantasy film Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters has narrowly toppled Wreck-It Ralph from the number one spot at the nation's box office.
The fairytale-based film went head-to-head with the kids' animation over the weekend and snatched the top spot with a narrow margin of around £100,000.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' weekend takings brought in approximately £1.5 million, while last weekend's number one Wreck-It Ralph trails in second place with £1.4 million.
The top five is rounded out by horror movie Mama (£1 million) in third, followed by A Good Day to Die Hard (£823,723) and Safe Haven (£812,460) in fourth and fifth place respectively.
