Harrison Ford thinks Star Wars return will happen
Harrison Ford has broken his silence about rumours he'll be reprising his Han Solo character for the much-anticipated Star Wars sequel, revealing he thinks it will happen.
George Lucas, the creator of the sci-fi franchise, contacted Ford and his co-stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher about plans for Star Wars: Episode VII before selling the rights to Disney bosses last year - and asked them to be part of the film.
Hamill and Fisher have both publicly shown interest in returning as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, and now it seems Ford is onboard too.
Asked by a reporter at Chicago, Illinois TV network WGN about the chances of the original Star Wars trio returning for Episode VII, the Indiana Jones star says, "I think it's almost true. I'm looking forward to it. It's not in the bag yet, but I think it'll happen, and I'm delighted."
The new Star Wars film will be directed by J.J. Abrams.
