Hero Driver Saves Baby From Burning Car
A truck driver is being hailed a hero after he saved a one-year-old baby and her grandmother from a burning car.
The dramatic rescue was captured by a dashboard camera installed on his vehicle by the truck driver, identified as David Fredericksen.
Mr Fredericksen saw a car slam into another vehicle on a Mississippi highway.
The car burst into flames as other drivers slow down around the site of the accident.
With the radio still on, Mr Fredericksen is heard telling a person in the car: "I've got a fire extinguisher".
He can then be seen rushing to the burning car and dousing it with the extinguisher.
He told jalopnik.com that he saw a woman trying to break open the car door and, in a back seat, a baby girl, before he managed to pull them clear.
"Other people would've done what I did," he told the site.
Both the woman and her granddaughter are alive, the report said, though the woman suffered a broken leg.
