Hero Pilot 'Saves Lives' As Plane Misses YMCA
Four people have been killed as a light aircraft crashed in Tennessee, narrowly missing a suburban YMCA building.
Authorities say the pilot of the Gulfstream 690C aircraft saved many lives by managing to avoid the YMCA when the plane came down.
Several cars close to the building were damaged in the crash, but nobody on the ground was hurt, according to Nashville fire department spokeswoman Kim Lawson.
Local reports said the four people killed in the crash were all members of the same family.
The aircraft took off from Great Bend Municipal Airport Kansas, and crashed 10 miles south of John C Tune Airport in Nashville.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
