James Arthur 'Sacks' PR Team In Twitter Rant
Singer James Arthur appears to have sacked his publicity team and is calling for an "actual fan" to do his public relations.
The X Factor winner took to his Twitter account to complain about the methods used to promote his work - the same account his team had earlier used to post the promotional messages.
"HQ please stop writing things like 'we think you would #LOVE This and that' or 'everybody #GETDOWN and buy this..' It's embarrassing," Arthur posted.
"Stick to promoting Paul Potts please. Thanks. #LOVE," the 26-year-old added.
He then said he wanted to give the PR job to a fan and that he wants the cover of his next mixtape to feature a picture†Tilikum, a killer whale from US attraction Seaworld who features in the documentary Blackfish.
"Ideally I'd like him to be attacking a crowd of people, lashing out after being exploited. Include my name and the title of the mixtape," Arthur wrote.
He then revealed he was launching a competition to design the cover.
Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts responded to Arthur's rant, telling him he needed to act like a professional.
"@JamesArthur23 you're a talented guy and ur music is great. But you're not an amateur anymore. Criticising ur promotion team openly on here isn't the best idea.
"Their wages come out of your budget and there will come a time when you need them more than they need u."
In November Arthur said he was quitting Twitter after he was accused of using a homophobic slur in a song.
But he has since returned to the micro-blogging site and is not shy about making his grievances known.
Last week he complained about the lack of coverage his new single Get Down had received on radio stations.
He tweeted: "Id like to thank the radio stations that didn't blacklist my latest single.. Were there any?"
