Jeremy Clarkson loses land battle

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has lost a legal battle to ban walkers from a path near his home.

Clarkson, famed for fronting hit motoring show Top Gear, applied to ban public access to a walkway close to his property on the Isle of Man.

He alleged having a footpath so close to the home breached his human rights, but officials on the island have ruled there is "strong and persuasive evidence" the public has a right to walk in the area.
