Jeremy Kyle feels lucky to be alive after cancer battle
Chat show host Jeremy Kyle feels "lucky to be alive" after receiving treatment for testicular cancer because he was convinced the disease would kill him.
The TV and radio presenter consulted a doctor shortly before Christmas after discovering a lump and was told he would need surgery and chemotherapy.
Kyle has now opened up about his health crisis, telling The Sun, "It's been a horrific time - a very sobering experience - but now I just feel lucky to be alive. I feel lucky that I'm here for my family and can see my kids grow up."
The star, who has been given the all-clear following the operation, returned to work on Wednesday and admits he was overwhelmed with emotion when he stepped back into the TV studio, "When I walked out and heard the applause I had tears in my eyes. But it's the right thing to do to help me get back to normal."
