Jesse L. Martin joined by S. Epatha Merkerson in Marvin Gaye biopic
Actress S. Epatha Merkerson is re-teaming with her former Law & Order co-star Jesse L. Martin in an upcoming Marvin Gaye biopic.
Merkerson will play Gaye's mother Alberta in Sexual Healing opposite Martin as the late soul star.
The movie, which will be directed by filmmaker Julien Temple, also stars Irish actor Brendan Gleeson and is reportedly set to begin filming over the summer.
The Sexual Healing hitmaker was shot dead by his father during an altercation in 1984.
