Jimmy Carr teased on TV over tax scandal
Jimmy Carr was left squirming on Thursday as his TV show sidekick teased him mercilessly over his use of a controversial tax-avoidance scheme.
The funnyman hit the headlines earlier this week after it emerged he was exploiting a legal loophole and paying just one per cent income tax in the U.K.
Prime Minister David Cameron branded his actions "completely wrong" on Wednesday, and the chastened comedian publicly apologised, confessing he had made a "terrible error of judgment".
But he became the butt of jokes during the latest episode of his panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats when comic Sean Lock mocked Carr, joking, "We all like to put a bit of money away for a rainy day, don't we? But I think you're more prepared than (biblical character) Noah."
Lock continued to poke fun at the TV host, who was among the presenters at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert earlier this month, prompting Carr to respond, "I've been dishing it out for years; it's about time I got some."
In a series of Twitter.com posts earlier on Thursday, Carr wrote, "I appreciate as a comedian, people will expect me to 'make light' of this situation, but I'm not going to in this statement as this is obviously a serious matter.
"I met with a financial advisor (sic) and he said to me 'Do you want to pay less tax? It's totally legal.' I said 'Yes.' I now realise I've made a terrible error of judgement (sic). Although I've been advised the K2 Tax scheme is entirely legal, and has been fully disclosed to HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs), I'm no longer involved in it and will in future conduct my financial affairs much more responsibly."

what do you think?
Jimmy Carr is not funny, he is a bore without talent
I have never, ever been able to stomach Jimmy Carr. He annoys me beyond belief and I just have this urge to slap his face whenever I see his picture. Don't know why but there you are.
I think Jimmy Carr is very funny, but of course that is a personal view. Whether I find him funny or not however has absolutely nothing to do with this article.
