John Barrowman ends pantomime run after injury
Actor John Barrowman played through the pain during his pantomime performances over the weekend because he was determined to finish his stage run despite suffering a nasty back injury.
The Doctor Who star was admitted to hospital on Friday after falling from a pantomime horse during a matinee performance of traditional stage show Jack and the Beanstalk in Glasgow, Scotland.
Barrowman's understudy finished the show and the actor subsequently missed the Friday night installment, but he was back on stage on Saturday as he was adamant he wouldn't miss the production's final weekend.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre venue says, "After a good night's sleep, he felt able to carry on. He was bruised but recovered... We're all delighted. He's a trouper."
