Katy Perry's Ex Johnny Lewis Found Dead
Police are investigating the death of Sons of Anarchy actor Johnny Lewis in Los Angeles after he is thought to have killed his landlady.
The actor, who went out with Katy Perry in 2006, is believed to have plunged to his death from his Hollywood home after murdering the 81-year-old woman.
Lewis, 28, was found in the property's driveway after falling or jumping to his death, it is suspected.
The body of Catherine Davis was found inside the house after neighbours reported hearing a woman's screams coming from inside.
There were also further reports of a man jumping a fence, and assaulting a painter and a homeowner next door.
Police Commander Andrew Smith revealed Lewis had rented a room from Ms Davis "for a short period of time" and "although there were no witnesses, he was suspected of killing her".
The actor's behaviour had become increasingly erratic and records show he was released from the Los Angeles County jail just a week ago.
Earlier this year, Lewis had enrolled in a drug and alcohol psychiatric treatment programme, after a spate of run-ins with the law.
Lewis, whose full name was Jonathan Kendrick Lewis, had a career spanning more than a decade, mainly performing in minor roles.
He played Ricky in the 2007 movie AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem and Scotty in the 2010 movie The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart.
The actor was most well known for playing Kip Half-Sack Epps in the 2008 and 2009 seasons of the FX show Sons of Anarchy.
Epps was an Iraq war veteran and prospective member of the motorcycle gang. His character came to a violent end when he was stabbed to death in the second season.
