Joseph Gordon-Levitt films appearance on Sesame Street

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt has swapped Hollywood for Sesame Street to give children a vocabulary lesson.

The Dark Knight Rises star took time out from his busy movie schedule to film a cameo appearance on the beloved US TV show, during which he was given the task of defining the word 'reinforce'.

In the sequence, Gordon-Levitt teams up with orange puppet Murray Monster, and he took to his Twitter.com page on Tuesday to share a video of his scenes along with the message, "Dream come true".

Gordon-Levitt follows in the footsteps of Zac Efron, Eva Longoria and Mila Kunis, who have all guest-starred on the programme.
