Kasabian star: 'Rolling Stone are playing Glastonbury'
Rocker Serge Pizzorno has seemingly confirmed rumours The Rolling Stones are planning to headline the prestigious Glastonbury music festival in June.
Fans and critics have speculated for months that the Brown Sugar hitmakers will play the Sunday night headline set on the main stage to round out their series of 50th anniversary gigs, which began last year, but organisers have refused to confirm the gossip.
In January, Sir Mick Jagger implied the speculation was correct, and now Pizzorno has further fuelled the rumours.
Kasabian are playing London's Hard Rock Calling event the same weekend as Glastonbury, and Pizzorno tells MTV UK, "I hope ours is the most talked about performance of the weekend, but that would be a miracle because The Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury."
The Rolling Stones have never performed at the three-day rock event, which was launched in 1970 and is widely regarded as the country's leading summer festival.
