Katy Perry fuels John Mayer relationship rumours

Newly single pop star Katy Perry has fuelled rumours linking her to John Mayer after the singers enjoyed a night out together on Wednesday.

The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker spent the evening with Mayer at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood before leaving and getting into a car with him.

Perry, whose divorce from Russell Brand was finalised last month, previously met up with Mayer in June at a private members' club in Los Angeles, where Us Weekly magazine reported the couple was being "affectionate, holding hands and cuddling".

Before marrying Brand, Perry admitted to a crush on Mayer during a 2009 interview on an Australian radio show, insisting, "I'd definitely s**g the s**t out of him though. I'll go on record saying that."
