Kelly Rowland: 'There will be no Destiny's Child reunion just now'

R&B star Kelly Rowland has dashed fans' hopes for a Destiny'S Child reunion in the near future, insisting the girls are "just enjoying each other's friendship".

Rowland parted ways professionally with her bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams in 2005 and the singers have since been working on their solo careers, while the Crazy in Love hitmaker became a mum earlier this year.

Beyonce's dad and former manager, Mathew Knowles, recently revealed plans to release a treasure trove of previously-unheard songs by the Grammy-winning trio and voiced his hopes of a reunion "in the next five years".

But Rowland has played down Knowles' comments, claiming the only reunion they will have will be behind closed doors - as friends.

She says, "We have a good time together and I think that's the most important thing. We don't want to scratch each other's eyes out; we love each other too much. If (reuniting is) something that we would want to do, you know, (we would do it) but in the meantime we're just enjoying each other's friendship. That's the greatest gift of Destiny's Child."
