Child star-turned-comedian Kenan Thompson faced off with New York City officials this week as he begged them not to tow away his car.

The funnyman left his luxury vehicle outside the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan and later returned to find parking attendants threatening to take the car away.

In pictures obtained by TMZ.com, Thompson, who was dressed in a bright gold suit, was seen arguing with officials as they prepared to hook the vehicle up to a tow truck.

However, the car was not towed and Thompson reportedly settled the parking dispute by paying a fine.
