16 Escape Fire At Kent Restaurant And Flats
Residents have been evacuated after a fire at a restaurant and a number of flats in Kent.
Sixteen people escaped the three-storey building in St James Way, Sidcup, before fire crews arrived.
Everyone in the building was accounted for and there were no reports of any injuries, London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
The fire has been contained and is under control, LFB said.
The building is believed to have a restaurant on the ground floor with a number of flats on two floors above it.
An LFB spokeswoman said when firefighters arrived the ground floor of the building was "100% alight", while the first floor was "50% alight".
Eight fire engines went to the scene and firefighters used thermal imaging cameras, LFB said.
