Kindle content service for children
Amazon is launching a subscription service for games, videos and books aimed at children using its Kindle Fire tablet devices.
Amazon is announcing that the service, Kindle FreeTime Unlimited, will be available in the next couple of weeks.
Parents can set up profiles for each child so that children can browse age-appropriate videos, games and books without being shown ads or accessing the internet.
It'll cost 4.99 dollars per child each month, though members of Amazon Prime, the company's premium shipping service, can get it for 2.99 dollars. Amazon Prime costs 79 dollars per year for free shipping of merchandise bought in the company's online store.
Family plans for up to six children will cost 9.99 dollars, or 6.99 dollars for Prime members.
