LaBeouf Lawyer Aims For Plea Deal Over Outburst
Shia LaBeouf has appeared in court in New York to face charges of disorderly conduct following an incident on Broadway last month.
Prosecutors and the actor's lawyer told a judge that they are exploring an agreement to resolve the case.
LaBeouf was arrested after he allegedly disrupted a performance of Cabaret starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams.
Theatregoers reported seeing the Transformers star looking bedraggled and behaving bizarrely at the Studio 54 theatre.
LaBeouf's publicist said he had sought outpatient treatment for alcoholism.
The 28-year-old is due back in court on September 10.
The actor and his lawyer, G Robert Gage, declined to comment as they left the Manhattan Criminal Court amid a swarm of cameras and microphones.
