'Legal Aid' Fraud Trial Ruling Is Overturned
A decision to scrap a fraud trial on the grounds that legal aid cuts meant defendants could not get a fair hearing has been overturned.
Three judges at the Court of Appeal overturned a decision to abandon the multimillion pound case.
The ruling had been made at Southwark Crown Court after the Prime Minister's brother, Alexander Cameron QC, successfully argued that reforms by the Ministry of Justice meant the five defendants did not have access to barristers of "sufficient competence".
