Leonardo DiCaprio teams up with electric car company
Actor and eco-warrior Leonardo DiCaprio has sealed his green credentials by becoming an equity investor in the electric car company Fisker Automotive.
Last year, the Titanic star became the first recipient of a 2012 Fisker Karma, one of the most environmentally-friendly vehicles on the market.
Now the movie hunk is partnering with bosses at the luxury hybrid brand, who will in turn support his Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation charity.
A statement from DiCaprio reads, "My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants. I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision."
DiCaprio founded his non-profit organisation in 1998 to work on a variety of environmental issues, including wildlife protection and forest preservation.
Justin Bieber and DiCaprio's rumoured ex-girlfriend Blake Lively are also proud owners of Fisker cars.
