Lily Allen performs at Paris Fashion Week

Pop star Lily Allen returned to the stage on Tuesday in Paris, France for a rare performance after stepping out of the spotlight in 2009.

The singer insisted she had retired from performing to focus on motherhood, but last year she headed back to the recording studio to work on new material.

She sealed her comeback in the French capital by performing at the ETAM show during Paris Fashion Week.

Allen, who is also known by her married name, Lily Rose Cooper, sang her debut hit Smile while models walked the runway.

Her last appearance on stage was a surprise duet with Pink on their track True Love for the Try hitmaker's VH1 Storytellers show in August.

Allen is now mother to two daughters, Ethel and Marnie.
