Lincoln screening to be held at the White House

The star-studded cast of Steven Spielberg's Lincoln will attend a special screening of the new presidential drama at the White House on Thursday.

Newly re-elected American leader Barack Obama will host the event for directing legend Spielberg and Daniel Day-Lewis, who plays 16th U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in the film.

Sally Field, who portrays Lincoln's wife Mary, and other castmembers including Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tommy Lee Jones will also attend.

The movie is already tipped to be a contender at next year's Academy Awards.
