Linda Nolan wants to open home to troubled children
Irish singer Linda Nolan is planning to open her home to troubled youngsters after admitting she deeply regrets not having children of her own.
The Nolans star put off becoming a mother to focus on her showbiz career, but now wishes she had taken the time to start a family of her own.
She tells The Lancashire and North West magazine, "I never had children of my own. It was my own fault. I put my career first and, in the end, it was too late. That's something I deeply regret."
Now the 53 year old wants to become a foster parent and take children into her care.
She adds, "I hope I will be given the chance to show some children that people can love you and that you can feel safe and happy with the adults who look after you.
"All children should feel that - I certainly did - but sadly, it's not the case for some."
