Lindsay Lohan hit with new tax lien

Lindsay Lohan's money woes are stacking up after U.S. officials slapped the troubled actress with a new tax bill.

The Mean Girls star is accused of owing the state of California £35,448 in unpaid income taxes from 2011, reports TMZ.com.

Lohan was recently able to clear her 2009 tax debt after her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie Sheen handed her a cheque for £62,500, but she still owes America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) £87,627 for federal income taxes stemming from 2010.

In December, Lohan's publicist insisted the star was "working out" a payment deal with IRS authorities after falling behind on her taxes.
