Madonna breaks down over song

Madonna opened her heart to fans at a concert in Germany over the weekend when she broke down in tears during a slowed-down version of Like A Virgin.

The pop superstar's ongoing MDNA tour has already hit the headlines after she flashed a nipple in Turkey and bared her bottom for the audience in Rome, Italy last month.

But the Material Girl stunned fans in a different way during Saturday's show in Berlin when she was suddenly overcome with emotion onstage.

The star dropped to her knees and her voice broke while she sang a haunting rendition of Like A Virgin, and she halted the set as she openly cried. Madonna then carried on with her moving performance while the crowd cheered her on.
