A man has been bailed after allegedly threatening to kill the Home Secretary and one of her predecessors, police have revealed.
Detectives had arrested a 33-year-old man from Blackburn on suspicion of making threats to kill and malicious communication.
The man has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The alleged threats were made against Theresa May and Labour's Jack Straw.
They were allegedly made during a telephone call to the office of Rossendale and Darwen MP Jake Berry on April 18.
