Man Wins Damages Over Jesuit School 'Abuse'
A former City lawyer who claimed a Jesuit-run school made him make a mess of his life has been awarded £54,923 at the High Court.
Patrick Raggett claimed he had been the victim of sexual abuse at Preston Catholic College, Lancashire, between 1970 and 1974.
The governors of the college, which closed in 1978, denied liability and said the case was brought too late.
In 2009, Mrs Justice Swift ruled against them and, earlier this year, began to assess what compensation Mr Raggett was due.
The 54-year-old had been seeking £5m damages.
