Martin Dismisses Father Of The Bride 3 Rumour
Steve Martin has denied having any involvement in a rumoured third instalment of Father Of The Bride.
It has been reported the film will focus on gay marriage as Martin's character George Banks' son gets married to the son of a US Navy Seal.
But Martin, 68, has tweeted that he has not seen a script or been asked to reprise the role.
NikkiFinke.com had reported that the star would appear in the film alongside Diane Keaton, who played his onscreen wife Nina in the 1991 original and 1995 sequel.
Their son Matty was played by Kieran Culkin, but it is not known if he has been approached about starring in the film.
Charles Shyer, the original director and co-writer, was reported to have signed up to work on the new movie, but nothing has been confirmed by Warner Bros.
The two films were both remakes of Spencer Tracy films made in the 1950s.
