Martin Lawrence separates from wife

Actor Martin Lawrence and his wife of two years are to divorce.

The Bad Boys funnyman and Shamicka Lawrence had been together for 15 years before they exchanged vows in 2010.

But the union wasn't destined to be permanent - Lawrence's representative tells People.com, "Martin and Shamicka Lawrence have decided to divorce.The couple has made the joint decision to part ways."

A statement from the pair reads, "Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together."
