Martine McCutcheon thanks fans for support following bankruptcy

Actress/singer Martine Mccutcheon has thanked fans for their support after she was declared bankrupt.

The Love Actually star recently filed for bankruptcy with debts of £149,000 owed to HM Revenue & Customs and another £30,000 to Lloyds Bank.

After the news hit the headlines on Tuesday, McCutcheon took to Twitter.com to reveal she was moved by the outpouring of support from her followers.

She writes, "I can't begin to express my love and gratitude for such kind and encouraging messages. I'm truly so touched. I love you guys. Thank you."

McCutcheon shot to fame on hit soap opera EastEnders, before launching a successful pop career and starring opposite Hugh Grant in 2003's hit comedy Love Actually.

It`s coming to something when great stars like her cannot earn enough to keep their heads above water.
