Masterchef helping Gregg Wallace get over love split

Masterchef host Gregg Wallace has credited the show with helping mend his broken heart after his recent split from his third wife.

The former grocer was left devastated when his marriage to Heidi broke down earlier this year, and the star threw himself into the latest celebrity series of the TV hit to help take his mind off his personal troubles.

He tells The Sun, "It's been a difficult year. It is really nice when you're feeling down to come and work somewhere everybody knows you.

"It has been a good distraction, as I have been really busy over the last few months."

Actress Emma Kennedy, TV presenter Michael Underwood and footballer Danny Mills will compete for the Celebrity Masterchef trophy in Friday's final.
