Matronic feels sorry for The Voice's Jessie J

Scissor Sisters star Anna Matronic sympathises with Jessie J's role on The Voice - she would hate to dash people's dreams of being a pop star during the culling stage of the talent show.

Matronic appears on this Saturday's episode to help out Jessie J, and while she was delighted to offer the music hopefuls invaluable pop tips she would hate to have her pal's job of cutting the acts from 10 to five.

She tells The Sun, "It would be really, really tough. I'm not sure if I could do it. Jessie has a really tough job. I would get so attached to the contestants."

However, the pop star admits she loved being on the show and wishes she was on hand every week to dish out advice to the talented amateurs: "It was fantastic. I couldn't believe it when the call came in. I wish I could be on there every week helping. But I could never do what the contestants are doing as a singer - I would just throw in the towel. It was a really high-pressure situation. I went in and Jessie and I heard them sing and gave them pointers.'"
