Max George denies Lindsay Lohan romance rumours

The Wanted star Max George has brushed off fresh reports suggesting he's dating Lindsay Lohan.

The boyband hunk has been linked to Lohan since November, when a night of partying in New York with the Mean Girls actress ended in her arrest on suspicion of assaulting a fellow club-goer.

The troubled star even visited George in his hometown of Manchester earlier this month and met his parents after ringing in the New Year in London, and she fuelled speculation they were more than just friends by showing off a photo of the pair goofing around on her Instagram.com blog on Monday.

However, the singer insists there is no truth to the romance claims.

In a brief Twitter.com post, he writes, "Rumours... That's all..."

Lohan struck up an unlikely friendship with George after attending a number of The Wanted's U.S. concerts last year, and he claimed he was proud to have kept the actress "out of trouble" following the highly-publicised nightclub clash.
